ME, MYSELF, AND WHY

I have to apologize in a grovel-esque fashion (I try to work an "esque" in at least one blog paragraph...never mind the discipline of Twitter, try working "esque" into a sentence without looking like a--you know what? Never mind.); I haven't posted in forever. Which is bad. Even for me! (My PR reps would clutch their heads and agree.)

But! I have an excuse. And unlike most of my excuses, this one isn't lame. I've been slaving over a hot manuscript, ME, MYSELF, AND WHY, and I finally finished the thing.

I loved it. (Hey, who's gonna want to toot my horn if I don't?) My agent loved it. Best of all, my editor loved it. She suggested I might do for the mentally disturbed what I did for (or, rather, to) vampires. I dunno about that, but I sure do like the book. It's about an FBI agent tracking down a (what else?) serial killer. The thing is, she's a multiple personality. That is to say, she's not one woman, she's three. And one of her is batshit crazy.

Anyway, tons of fun, psyched about getting started on my editor's suggestions, and--oh, yeah! Gearing up for another book tour, this one to promote UNDEAD AND UNWELCOME, which is out next Tuesday.

Especially when you bring me presents. But that's not necessary. Not that I would say no. Because I wouldn't. It's just--oh, never mind. Just say hi already.
